About the programme
“My children! Do not just imagine, do not only believe that God is in you and that you belong to Him, but be sure of this without any doubt! ” (Tauler)
The path of contemplation is the knowledge of God dwelling in us. It does not require words, sacred thoughts, and rituals. Contemplation is a spontaneous, simple and direct experience of God.
God is always present, never disappearing, but we do not notice him.
In contemplative spiritual practice we experience Him in ourselves. We turn our back on the world, we turn to silence — we don’t even talk to each other — and turn inward . We focus on nature first, then keeping the body, then breathing, and finally chanting the name of Jesus in us. In addition to sitting meditations, we perform a simple body-sensing meditative movement and attend mass on a daily basis.
These days, Niklaus Brantschen SJ will also be a guest of Posticum, he will support our retreat and present Mass.
